Tate Britain

Tate Britain (until 2000 known as the Tate Gallery) displays a collection of historic and contemporary British artwork. Several rooms are dedicated to specific artists. It opened in 1897 and is the oldest gallery in the Tate network. Other galleries are Tate Modern, Tate St. Ives and Tate Liverpool.
